Arkansas got off to probably their best start of the season. An 11-0 start in front of a sold out crowd that was absolutely rocking. Then Kentucky took that punch, shook it off, and systematically took apart Arkansas for the remainder of the game. They left Fayetteville with a 87-72 win.
The 2018 college baseball season is upon us, and the Diamond Hogs’ roster is chock-full of veterans to go along with the nation’s 3rd ranked recruiting class from a year ago. While the lineup will include many familiar faces, the weekend rotation will consist of a couple of pitchers returning from injury with high ceilings.
After a rocky start, Arkansas put all the pieces together for a comfortable 72-54 win over Vanderbilt. Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon were a combined 8/12 from 3 point range and had 37 points together. Daniel Gafford put in 16 with nine boards and a career high seven blocks with some highlight plays to cap off the win.
The Hogs picked up a late addition to the class and it’s a big one. Dorian Gerald, the 27th ranked overall JUCO player and top DE. Picked the Hogs over Texas A&M, and he did so with a good looking cookie cake.
